Shogakukan published the inaugural issue of F Life, the official magazine commemorating what would have been the 80th birthday of the late Doraemon creator Fujiko F. Fujio, on Saturday. The magazine calls itself "the publication for those who love Doraemon and Fujiko F. Fujio."

The magazine covers the life of Fujiko F. Fujio and his works including Doraemon from various angles. The first issue has a "Motto Shiritai. Fujiko F. Fujio" (I Want to Know More. Fujiko F. Fujio) feature that profiles the creator's life with many photos. The issue also allows readers to view many images such as pencil sketches for the films 2112: The Birth of Doraemon and Doraemon: Doraemon Comes Back.

Other features include a comemorative gallery of sketches by Inio Asano, Masakazu Ishiguro, Naoki Urasawa, and others, as well as "My Best F Questionnaire" — a collection of questionaire responses by a wide variety of celebrities about their favorite works.

The second issue will have full coverage on Stand By Me Doraemon, the first 3D film starring the robot cat, when it ships in late July.
