Man Arrested for Uploading Danchi Tomoo via Share

On Wednesday, police in Chiba Prefecture's cyber-crime unit arrested 49-year-old system engineer Masaharu Tsuyuguchi from Osaka on suspicion of using the Share file-sharing software to upload television anime without the copyright holders' permission. According to the authorities, he admitted to the charge, saying "I wanted to show it to others who hold the same interests."
The suspect allegedly uploaded the 34th Danchi Tomoo anime episode last December. He is also suspected of uploading about 300 files of television anime videos and voice cast members' radio program audio over the past five years.
