People with Twitter or Facebook accounts can vote for the Anime Fan Prize. The awards' ceremony and reception will be held on March 22, the same day as the first day of the inaugural AnimeJapan event.
The staff of the Tokyo International Anime Fair announced in October that the Tokyo Anime Awards will be “reborn” along with the fair's restructuring in 2014. The ceremony will now be named the Tokyo Anime Award Festival, and a new board of judges for the award ceremony has already been formed. This new board will include an official judge's panel, and will also include support from the Japan Film Society, which is made up of common citizens.
