Kingdom's 2nd Anime Series to End on March 1

39th episode of 2nd series based on Yasuhisa Hara's historical manga
The April issue of Shueisha's V Jump magazine is confirming on Friday that the second Kingdom anime series will end with the 39th episode on March 1. The second series set in China's Warring States Period premiered in June and runs every Saturday at 24:00 (effectively Sunday at midnight).
The original manga has been running in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine since 2006, and the 33rd volume shipped in Japan last month.
The first anime series based on Yasuhisa Hara's historical manga premiered in June 2012 and ended after 38 episodes last February. Funimation has been streaming the first series in North America.
