The agency of singer and voice actress Kanako Miyamoto reported on Friday that she will be taking a break from show business due to her poor health.
According to her agency, Miyamoto's health had deteriorated at the end of 2013. She had tried to get better, but has still not completely recovered. Her agency reported that they had tried to find a way for Miyamoto to complete all her work, but due to the situation, it became hard to continue working. After speaking with those involved, the agency decided to let Miyamoto take a break for a short while.
The agency also apologized to fans and those involved with Miyamoto's work. The singer will take a break from Anipara Ongakukan (Anime Paradise Music Museum), a program on which Miyamoto is a regular. However, her second album Arigatō no Uta (A Song of Thanks) will debut on February 12 as scheduled.
Miyamoto is best known for her role as Cure Sword in Dokidoki! Precure, but before her acting appearance in the magical girl series, she sang theme songs for the Yes! Precure 5 anime and its sequel. Her recent roles include Kō Sawatari on Tamayura, Hana Sasayama on Mangirl!, and Glossam X2 in Robot Girls Z.
