Dancing Dolls, a 5-girl dancing and singing unit that rose to fame from their dancing videos posted online, will perform the anime's opening theme song, while Tsugumi, Meme, and Anya voice actresses Haruka Chisuga, Aoi Yūki, and Saori Hayami will perform the ending theme.
The magazine also announced that the fourth compiled volume of the Soul Eater Not! manga will ship in Japan on April 12.
Soul Eater Not! begins before the start of the original Soul Eater story. As Tsugumi Harudori (voiced by Haruka Chisuga) enters the gates to Shinigami Buki Shokunin Senmon Gakkō (also known as Shibusen), a school for training Meisters and Weapons (humans that can transform into various weapons), she encounters Meister Maka Albarn (Chiaki Omigawa) and her Weapon Soul Eater Evans (Kōki Uchiyama). By a turn of events, Weapon Tsugumi is assigned to not one Meister, but two. Her hectic days with the gentle Meme (Saori Hayami) and high-class lady Anya (Aoi Yūki) begin.
Masakazu Hashimoto is directing the anime at BONES, and Satoshi Koike is designing the characters for the series. Asami Tachibana and Yuuki Tachibana are scoring the anime's music.
The anime will premiere on Japanese television in April.
