Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain Could Be as Late as 2015

Industry analyst David Gibson wrote on Twitter that Konami and Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain video game could be released as late as December 2015. Gibson attended a Konami investment call and said the release will depend on the game's development stage. "MGS5 could be released in FY3/2015 or FY3/2016 depending on the development stage," Gibson wrote. Fiscal year quarter 3 for 2015 would be October to December 2014 where as fiscal year quarter 3 for 2016 would be October to December 2015.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prequel to Phantom Pain will debut on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One consoles on March 18. Konami admitted at the meeting that Ground Zeroes is a Short Game and reviewers reported the main storyline can be completed in under two hours.
