Shoji Gatoh's Amagi Brilliant Park Get Manga in Dragon Age
posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Japanese publisher Fujimi Shobo announced on Sunday that a manga adaptation of the Amagi Brilliant Park light novel series by Shoji Gatoh (Full Metal Panic!) will begin in the March issue of its Dragon Age magazine, which will ship on Saturday, February 8. Kimitake Yoshioka (Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne manga) will provide the art for the manga.
The "slapstick drama" begins with Seiya Kanie, a high school boy who is invited on a date in an amusement park by a mysterious beautiful transfer student named Isuzu Sento. He is introduced to Ratifa, a "real" princess and the park's manager, and is asked to be the acting manager of this "disappointing amusement park in the Tokyo suburbs."
Kyoto Animation is producing an anime of the novels. Gatoh started the series with illustrations by Yuka Nakajima (Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!/Papa Kiki!) last February, and Fantasia Bunko published the third volume last month.
