The March issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine is announcing on Tuesday that the live-action film of Takatoshi Nakamura's 1/11 soccer manga will open in theaters on April 5. Advance tickets will go on sale on February 8 with an original exclusive clear file.
D-Boys member Ryōsuke Ikeoka (Prince of Tennis musical, Pole Dancing Boys) will star as protagonist Sora Andō and Shoh Kataoka (Yellow Elephant and Miss Boys! writer) is writing and directing the film.
The manga centers on Sora, a boy who believed he had reached the limit of his talent in soccer. He planned to quit playing after middle school so he could focus on studying in high school. However, on the day of his last match, he meets Shiki Wakamiya, a girl who was his childhood friend.
