Attack on Titan Manga Has 29 Million in Circulation

The RBB Today website reported on Friday that Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan manga has over 29 million copies in circulation. Oricon estimated 1.4 million copies of 12th volume were sold as of January 19. Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine last November announced that the 11 volumes of the Attack on Titan manga had reached 25 million copies in circulation in Japan.
North American manga publisher Kodansha Comics revealed at its New York Comic Con panel that the manga has 500,000 copies in print in English as of October 2013. Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga in North America on a monthly basis until it is caught up with the Japanese releases. For the first time, Nielsen BookScan's list of the top 20 graphic novels in American bookstores had more books of Attack on Titan manga than any other series in the United States last fall.
