Namco Bandai Games began streaming the second TV spot on Tuesday for the Toriko Ultimate Survival Nintendo 3DS game's second Ultimate Hunter Festa event.
Players of the "ultimate gourmet food hunting" game are able to scan QR codes from the official website for a limited amount of time, which allow the player to fight against various beasts. The player that gets the largest number of quickest time stamps for defeating monsters (proven with a screenshot) within Japan will have his or her record featured in a magazine, and will also receive a Nintendo 3DS XL system with an autograph and illustration by original creator Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro, as well as other prizes.
The final opponent in the event is available for players to challenge now. Players will be able to participate in the tournament until March 23. Those who rank first, second, and third will receive original t-shirts. The participation prize to all players is a special mission to defeat a Prajnaparamita Panda.
The 3DS game was released in Japan in November, and takes place on an island called Shikijima, which features more than 200 species of wild animals. Toriko and his friends must work together to collect ingredients on this dangerous island. Tengu Buranchi is available as a limited-edition character, and Tommyrod and Grinpatch are also featured in the game.
