posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Japanese developer Collavier confirmed with the video game website Siliconera on Friday that the Comic Studio Nintendo 3DS app that allows users to create their own manga will get a Western release.
Comic Kōbō allows users to choose a panel layout, and then create multiple layers, add color, and choose a speech bubble type. The app will also feature a gradient button to blur colors, a font button to change size and direction of font, and the ability to modify black-and-white photographs, choose pen thickness, erase lines, and add straight lines, shapes, or sound effects.
The app will have 80 save files with the ability to save up to 80 pages in each save file. Users can also transfer images to cameras or computers as JPEG files.
The app will be available in Japan on January 15 for 800 yen (about US$7.63).
