Viz's Shonen Jump to Release Special Obata Issue

Viz Media announced its 6th/7th combined issue of Weekly Shonen Jump that it will release a special issue dedicated to Takeshi Obata's All You Need Is Kill manga adaptation. The issue will be released on Saturday followed by a regular issue the following week on January 20.
The special issue will include the first chapter of Obata's All You Need Is Kill and previews of Obata's other works. All You Need Is Kill revolves around a battle-armored soldier who finds himself dying and reincarnating over and over again during an alien invasion. Viz Media published Sakurazaka's novel in English to launch its Haikasoru imprint for Japanese science fiction and fantasy. The novel is inspiring the Edge of Tomorrow film starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt that opens on June 6.
Obata's other works include Death Note, Bakuman., and Hikaru no Go.
