Square Enix began streaming a teaser trailer last Monday for Bravely Second, the sequel to the Nintendo 3DS game Bravely Default. The teaser trailer showcases character art, concept art, and gameplay footage. The trailer stars the newest character in the series, Magnolia.
The end of the trailer features the following discussion: "Alright, let's go!" "To where?" "Aha... a good place."
Main character designer Akihiko Yoshida previously announced his decision to leave Square Enix; however, he said he will continue to work on the Bravely Default series "for as long as he is needed." The video confirms that Yoshida will again serve as main character designer for the sequel, which will also ship for the 3DS.
Square Enix is also currently streaming a new trailer for already-released Bravely Default: For the Sequel game (the end of this trailer features the same footage for Bravely Second featured above).
Square Enix previously premiered both trailers during last weekend's annual Jump Festa exposition in Tokyo.
Square Enix collaborated with Naotaka Hayashi, scenario writer for 5pb.'s Robotics;Notes, Steins;Gate, and Chaos;HEAd games, to create Bravely Default. The game shipped in Japan in October 2012.
The game's Western release will be the enhanced version of the game, titled Bravely Default: For the Sequel in Japan. The enhanced game shipped in Japan on December 5, and in Europe on December 6. The game will ship in North America on February 7 and will feature a limited edition with an artbook, 34 AR cards, and an original soundtrack CD.
Nintendo revealed last week that it will release a free demo for the game on the Nintendo e-Shop in North America on January 2
