Amazon Japan is listing that the Tamayura - More Aggressive television anime series will get a new OVA next year. The 30-minute anime is slated to ship on June 7 on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. The anime will feature the unaired episode 8.5.
The staff from the television series is returning for the OVA, with director Junichi Satō, scriptwriter Reiko Yoshida, and character designer Haruko Iizuka. Ai Kayano and Nao Tōyama will return to voice the second season's new characters Kanae Mitani and Tomo-chan respectively. The video will again feature Maaya Sakamoto's opening theme song and Megumi Nakajima's ending theme song from the series.
Both the Blu-ray Disc and DVD versions will include a video version of the "Tamayuradio ~More Aggresive~ Special Edition" radio show, audio commentary, and a specially-designed story case and double digipak. First edition copies will also ship with three photographs: two "memories" photographs and one new illustrated photograph.
The Blu-ray Disc version will retail for 5,400 yen (about US$52), and the DVD version will retail for 4,104 yen (US$39).
Tamayura - More Aggressive, the sequel to Tamayura - Hitotose, premiered in Japan on July 3. In the new season, Fu surprises the other returning characters with her plan to form a photography club. She has trouble recruiting members from the incoming students, but then she encounters a girl named Kanae Mitani. Like Fu, her hobby is photography, and she uses the Pentax Q camera. She tends to overthink things and ends up unable to take action.
