The official website for the Dragonar Academy (Seikoku no Dragonar) anime began streaming a promotional video on Sunday:
Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing Ran's manga version of Shiki Mizuchi's original light novel series in North America starting in February 2014. The publisher describes the manga:
Learning to ride and tame dragons comes easy to most students at Ansarivan Dragonar Academy—except for first-year student Ash Blake, who is known by his fellow classmates as the “number one problem child.” Poor Ash is the laughing stock at school because, despite his unfashionably large star-shaped brand that marks him as a future dragon master, he has nothing to show for it. His dragon has never appeared.Until now, that is. One fateful day, Ash's dragon awakes in full glory, but appears different than any dragon ever seen before—in the form of a beautiful girl! What's worse, Ash soon discovers that this new dragon has attitude to spare, as she promptly informs him that she is the master, and he, the servant.
Ash's problems with dragon riding have only just begun.
The cast for the anime and the earlier drama CD include:
- Kouji Takahashi as Ash Blake
- Mariya Ise as Eco
- Ayane Sakura as Silvia Lautreamont
- Marina Inoue as Rebecca Randall
- Asami Shimoda as Anya
- Yui Sakakibara as Navi
- Tomoaki Maeno as Raymond Kirkland
- Genki Muro as Maximillian Russell
- Takehito Koyasu as Milgaus

Mizuchi launched the story as a light novel series in 2010, and Media Factory published the 14th volume on November 22. Ran has been drawing the manga adaptation in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine since last year.
The anime series will premiere in 2014.
