Infinite Stratos Light Novels Get OVA in 2014

"World Purge-hen" video anime revealed after last episode of sequel TV series

The official Twitter account for the Infinite Stratos anime franchise announced on Thursday that the series is getting a new video anime. The final episode in the Infinite Stratos 2 television anime series additionally added that the World Purge-hen anime will ship in 2014. More information about the upcoming OVA will be revealed on the official website at a later date.

The two television anime series adapt Izuru Yumizuru's original Infinite Stratos light novel series. The second season premiered on October 3, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs. Sentai Filmworks and Section23 Films released the first anime season in North America, and the companies plans to release the second season on home video in 2014.

The franchise is also inspiring the Infinite Stratos 2: Ignition Hearts PlayStation 3 and PS Vita game from 5pb. that will ship in Japan on February 27.
