Naruto Ultimate Storm Game to Have Mecha Kyūbi Mode for Naruto

Original creator Masashi Kishimoto designs evolving mecha character with 3 modes

2014's combined 4th/5th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Saturday that the upcoming Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (Narutimate Storm Revolution) PlayStation and Xbox 360 fighting game will include a "Mecha Naruto" playable character.

The character has three modes, the normal "Mecha Naruto" (pictured at top right), which can then evolve into a "Kyūbi Mode" (pictured middle left), and then a "Kyūbi Mode (Mecha Kurama Version)" (pictured bottom right). Each time the mech evolves, it gets stronger.

Mecha Naruto is one of the new characters that Masashi Kishimoto is personally designing for the new game. Other new characters will be revealed at the Jump Festa 2014 event on December 21-22.

The game will feature new gameplay mechanics, including the Combination Ultimate Jutsu attacks that allow players to combine powers to create more powerful techniques. The game will also feature more than 100 playable characters from both the Naruto and Naruto Shippūden anime.

CyberConnect2 is again developing the fighting game, and Namco Bandai Games has already announced that the game will ship in North America and Europe in 2014. The game will also ship in Japan next year.
