La Corda d'Oro 3 Anime's Title, Staff, More Cast Announced

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Next spring's anime adaptation of the La Cordo d'Oro 3 dating simulation game will be titled La Corda d'Oro Blue Sky. Kōjin Ochi (Detective Conan/Case Closed) will serve as chief director, and Takahiro Natori (Aria series episode director) will direct at TYO Animations (La Corda D'Oro - primo passo production). Keiichirō Ōchi is in charge of the scripts ( Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!) and Maki Fujioka (La Corda D'Oro - primo passo) is adapting Yuki Kure's character designs.

Reiko Takagi is returning from La Corda D'Oro - primo passo to play the new female protagonist Kanade Kohinata. The rest of the announced cast includes:

Kentarou Itou as Yukihiro Yagisawa

Masakazu Morita as Shiro Hozumi

Daisuke Kishio as Arata Mizushima

Kishô Taniyama as Chiaki Tougane

Hideo Ishikawa as Housei Toki

Satoshi Hino as Reiji Myoga

Mamoru Miyano as Sei Amamiya

Yuki Masuda as Sousuke Nanami

Akemi Satou as Nia Hasekura

The cast joins previously announced members Jun Fukuyama as Kyōya Kisaragi, Katsuyuki Konishi as Ritsu Kisaragi, Yuya Uchida as Daichi Sakaki, and Kaori Mizuhashi as Haruto Mizushima.

Yuki Kure launched the manga adaptation of La Corda D'Oro 3 in the January issue of Hakusensha's LaLa shōjo manga magazine on November 22. The three La Corda D'Oro 3: Another Sky spin-off games will ship in Japan in January.

The game franchise already inspired a television anime series in 2006, and a television special sequel, La Corda D'Oro ~secondo passo~, aired in spring of 2009. Sentai Filmworks licensed and released the series on DVD in North America, and Crunchyroll streamed both anime. Kure also adapted the first Kin-iro no Corda game into a manga, and Viz Media published the 17th and final volume of the original La Corda D'Oro manga in North America in May.
