Da Vinci Magazine Lists 2013's Top Manga Series

The January issue of Media Factory's book and manga news magazine Da Vinci will reveal its 14th annual "Book of the Year" list on Friday. The rankings are not based solely on sales. Instead, a group of 4,619 voters including professional book reviewers, bookstore employees, and Da Vinci readers selected this year's lists.
Comics
- Attack on Titan (Volumes 1-11) - Hajime Isayama
- Silver Spoon (Volumes 1-9) - Hiromu Arakawa
- One Piece (Volumes 1-72) - Eiichiro Oda
- March comes in like a lion (Volumes 1-9) - Chika Umino
- Chihayafuru (Volumes 1-22) - Yuki Suetsugu
Novelist Fuyumi Ono's first volume in The Twelve Kingdoms series in 12 years and Haruki Murakami's Shikisai o Motanai ta Saki Tsukuru to, Kare no Junrei no Toshi novels ranked at #1 and #2 on this year's novel list.
Last year's list separated manga between male and female-oriented series. Silver Spoon, One Piece, and March comes in like a lion ranked on the male list with Space Brothers and Detective Conan. Chihayafuru was #1 on the female list with Kimi ni Todoke, Natsume's Book of Friends, Ōoku: The Inner Chambers and Ore Monogatari!!.
