Final Fantasy XIV Slated for PS4 Next April

Square Enix company's president Hiroshi Kōno announced at the 2013 PlayStation Awards on Tuesday that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will launch on the PlayStation 4 console in April. Beta testing for the PlayStation 4 version will open on February 22, the same day the console launches in Japan. The beta will be open to PlayStation 4 users worldwide.
Square Enix released Final Fantasy XIV Online for personal computers in September 2010. After criticism from fans, the company revealed an updated version of the game titled Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn that adds a new world and story. The game launched for Windows PC and PlayStation 3 on August 27 and has over 1.5 million accounts.
