'Peaceful Times (F02) petit film' Streamed by Evangelion Staff, Composer

Mahiro Maeda helms short with Shiro Sagisu's music, Megumi Hayashibara's narration

The official website for Khara's Evangelion film series began streaming the "Peaceful Times (F02) petit film" on Saturday. The short features previously unseen Evangelion storyboard art.

Evangelion director Hideaki Anno supervised the "petit film," and Mahiro Maeda (Blue Submarine No. 6, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, Evangelion: 3.0) directed and storyboarded it. Shiro Sagisu (Evangelion, Magi, Berserk films) provided the music, and voice actress Megumi Hayashibara (Evangelion's Rei Ayanami) narrates the Japanese version of the English lyrics.

The short marks the October 23 release of the Evangelion Piano Forte album and the November 6 release of Sagisu's album SHIRO'S SONGBOOK 'Xpressions. "Peaceful Times" is the name of the chorus song used in the preview at the end of Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. The cover of SHIRO'S SONGBOOK 'Xpressions (pictured right) also uses storyboard drawings by Maeda.
