Last Gundam UC Blu-ray Briefly Listed on June 6
posted on by Egan Loo
The Japanese arm of Amazon listed the limited first edition Blu-ray Disc for the seventh and final volume of Mobile Suit Gundam UC on June 6, 2014, but removed the listing on Wednesday. Amazon reported a runtime of 180 minutes for the entire volume, including the anime itself and the bonus extras. Both the standard and limited editions would have a 16-page booklet.
According to Amazon's removed listing, the first copies of the limited edition will have an exclusive sleeve with Full Armor Unicorn Gundam illustrated by Hajime Katoki, a bonus disc with the complete edition of episode EX "Hyaku-Nen no Kodoku" (Hundred-Year Solitude, a digest of the Universal Century drafted by Gundam UC author Harutoshi Fukui) and new videos (on the making of the project and interviews), a bonus booklet (with Fuku's episode EX "Hyaku-Nen no Kodoku" scenario, Universal Century Gundam tribute illustrations, episode 7 key pencil sketches, and more), an episode 1-6 digest, and a collection of promotional videos.
Bandai Visual previously said that the final volume will debut next spring, and that it will be in the 90-minute range (compared to the one-hour lengths of the previous volumes.) The previous volumes have debuted in limited engagement runs in theaters two to four weeks before retailers such as Amazon have sold them.
