Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD's Final Trailers Streamed
posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Video game publisher Square Enix began streaming a short and long version of a “Last Trailer” for its Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on Monday. The videos contain the songs “Suteki da ne” (Isn't it Wonderful?) by Rikki and “real Emotion" by Kumi Koda. IGN is also streaming an English version of the trailer. (Note: Both trailers below contain major spoilers for the entirety of the games).
An HD remaster of Final Fantasy X: Eien no Nagi-setsu (Eternal Calm) will be included with the game. Eien no Nagi-setsu was bundled with Final Fantasy X International and The Other Side of Final Fantasy 2 bonus disc. The 14-minute video takes place between the Final Fantasy X and X-2 games. The video was bundled in Europe in the Unlimited Saga Collector's Edition release.
The HD remaster will also contain the Last Mission chapter, which was included in the Final Fantasy X-2 International edition. Last Mission includes two new dress spheres, an additional mission, and the ability to capture monsters and characters from Final Fantasy X. Last Mission has not been previously released outside of Japan.
The game also includes about 60 remixed music tracks of Nobuo Uematsu's original Final Fantasy X soundtrack, and Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi's original Final Fantasy X-2 soundtrack.
Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD, a high-definition remaster of Square Enix's Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 role-playing games, will arrive on PlayStation 3 in the United States on March 18, in Europe on March 21, and in Japan (for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita) on December 26. Those who pre-order the game in Europe and North America will receive a limited-edition artbook. Final Fantasy X HD and Final Fantasy X-2 HD will also be sold separately for the PS Vita only (3,990 yen each or 3,600 yen for download).
Update: Release date for North America and Europe fixed. Thanks, jmfsilenthill and RyanSaotome .
