Publisher Square Enix announced on its website that Yuhki Kamatani will launch a new manga in the Gangan Online web magazine on November 21. The series is titled Busshi no Busshin: Kamakura Hanbun Busshiroku-, and it will center around a sculptor of Buddhist images.
Kamatani began her Nabari No Ou manga in Square Enix's Monthly G Fantasy magazine in 2004, and it ran for 14 volumes before ending in 2010. The North American publisher Yen Press launched its Yen Plus magazine in 2008 with the Nabari No Ou manga, and it published the final compiled volume in July. Director Kunihisa Sugishima and J.C. Staff adapted the manga into a television anime series in 2008, and Funimation released the anime in North America in 2009.
Kamatani also launched her manga Shōnen Note -Days of Evanescence- in Kodansha's Morning 2 magazine in 2010.
