MangaComicsManga.com's Deb Aoki, who is one of the judges for this year's Manga Translation Battle contest hosted by Mangapolo, revealed via Twitter on Wednesday that Mangapolo has extended the deadline for applications from October 31 to November 6.
Contestants can choose between four different manga to translate. The featured manga are Masaaki Nakayama's Fuan no Tane Plus, Ishiki's Acchi Kocchi, Machiya Hatoko's and Eda Yuuri's Koi to wa Yobenai, and Fumiko Tanikawa's Saya Saya to. In addition to a fan vote, a committee of four judges will also assist in the voting process by judging finalists on their Japanese-English translating abilities.
The Digital Comic Association is presenting the contest with support from Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs. Mangapolo will announce the winners in January 2014.
