Man Arrested for Uploading Minami-ke Tadaima via Share

On October 25, the cyber crime task force of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police and the Kamakura City station arrested a 32-year-old male company employee from Kamakura on suspicion of violating Japan's Copyright Law. The suspect allegedly used the file-sharing software Share to upload the 10th episode of the Minami-ke Tadaima anime on March 11.
Security researchers have known about flaws in Share's anonymity features since 2006.
Also on October 25, Nagasaki Prefectural Police and the Sasebo City station arrested a 49-year-old organization representative from Sasebo for allegedly uploading all 16 volumes of Espritline's English tutorial series Speed Learning - Beginner via the file-sharing sofware Cabos on May 30. In addition, he is under investigation for electronically recording and displaying obscene material.
