Colorido's 'Control Bear' Anime Short Streamed With Floating Teddy Bears
posted on by Egan Loo
Studio Colorido began streaming its "Control Bear" short animation film on Saturday. The "Control Bear" art concept project is the brainchild of Nagatake Uehara, an artist from Okinawa, and the central icon of its "black humor" is "an innocent bear taking off his own head."
A promotional video version of the short debuted in the Control Bear Store Tokyo storefront that opened in the Lafore Harajuku department store on September 7. Yōjirō Arai (in-between animation on The Secret World of Arrietty and From Up On Poppy Hill) directed the short, and Takaaki Nakahashi and jeux d'eau contributed the music. Other staff members include:
- Produced by Spiral Cute Inc.
- Executive Produced by graphis Inc.
- Producer: Yoichi Kawakami
- Supervisor: Nagatake Uehara
Colorido is also showing the "Shashinkan" anime short from Takashi Nakamura (Fantastic Children, Catnapped! The Movie) and "Hinata no Aoshigure" anime short from Hiroyasu Ishida ("Fumiko's Confession") in joint screenings this month.
