5 cast members sing ending theme song for female wrestling anime premiering on October 6

The official Niconico channel for the television anime adaptation of ESE and Kiyohito Natsuki's female wrestling idol manga Wanna Be the Strongest in the World! (Sekai de Ichiban Tsuyoku Naritai!) began streaming an animated video for the show's ending theme song on Thursday. The unit Sweet Diva, made up of show's cast members Ayana Taketatsu, Kana Asumi, Yuka Ōtsubo, Miku Itou, and Sora Amamiya, are performing the ending theme song "Fan Fanfare!!!." The single for the ending theme song will ship on November 6.

ESE and Natsuki launched the original manga in the inaugural issue of Comic Earth Star in 2011, and the fourth compiled book volume shipped on September 12. This is the first 30-minute television anime based on a manga from the magazine.

In the story, Sakura Hagiwara (voiced by Taketatsu), the main vocalist of the nationally renowned idol group Sweet, suddenly decides to become a female professional wrestler one day.

Rion Kujo (Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, Ikki Tousen: Shūgaku Tōshi Keppu-roku) is directing the "most fainting-in-agony female professional wrestling anime ever" at the studio ARMS (MAOYU, Ikki-Tousen). Rin-Sin (Queen's Blade, Ikki-Tousen) is designing the characters.

The rest of the cast includes:

  • Kana Hanazawa as Juri Sanada
  • Rina Satou as Kanae Fujishita
  • Eri Kitamura as Makoto Kirishima
  • Suzuko Mimori as Chinatsu Suzumoto
  • Sumire Uesaka as Kurea Komiyama
  • Sora Tokui as Hornet
  • Kyōko Narumi as Misaki Toyoda
  • Haruka Tomatsu as Rio Kazama
  • Hisako Kanemoto as Moe Fukuoka
  • Chiaki Takahashi as Jackall Tōjō

The anime will premiere on October 6.
