Funimation Recalls Sankarea Blu-ray/DVD Box

Funimation issued a recall of its Sankarea: Undying Love Blu-ray/DVD box set on Tuesday. Funimation explained the decision to recall since "the rating on the release will now change from TV14 to TVMA" and added:

If you have purchased this release, and would like a refund, please return product to your retailer. We apologize for the inconvenience, and should you have any questions, please feel free to contact: sankareareturns@funimation.com

We plan to re-release this title with the new materials at a later date once the discs have been authored.

Initially, Funimation planned to issue replacement disks for the series. Customers who received the DVD and Blu-ray set stated that the home video release contained the censored broadcast version instead of the uncensored home video version.

The Blu-ray and DVD boxset would have officially shipped in North America on Tuesday.
