P.A. Works' Nagi no Asukara Anime Previewed in Ad

Animax aired a commercial for Nagi no Asukara, the original animation project from P.A. Works and ASCII Media Works' Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine, on Friday.
Kana Hanazawa and Natsuki Hanae are leading the cast. Hanazawa will play Manaka Mukaido, a middle school girl who is indecisive and prone to crying. Hanae will play Hikari Sakishima, Manaka's caring childhood friend. Additional cast members include Kaito Ishikawa, Ryota Ohsaka, Ai Kayano, Mikako Komatsu, and Kaori Ishihara.
Toshiya Shinohara (Black Butler, The Book of Bantorra) is directing off scripts supervised by Mari Okada (Black Butler, The Book of Bantorra, anohana, Hana-Saku Iroha). Buriki (Haganai, Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl) is in charge of the original character designs.
The series will premiere on October 3.
