Little Busters! EX Anime Green-Lit
posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for the Little Busters! anime projects updated on Monday to confirm that production on the Little Busters! EX anime has been green-lit. The announcement was first made at a "KSL Live 2013" event earlier in the day.
Little Busters! Ecstacy was an updated adult version of the original Little Busters! romance adventure game with added and modified scenarios. Key, an adult game brand of Visual Art's, first released Little Busters! Ecstacy in 2008, one year after the original game. The Little Busters! EX anime web page shows the two heroines (Kanata Futaki, Sasami Sasasegawa) who were made more prominent in the Little Busters! Ecstacy game, and the game's added heroine, Saya Tokido.
The original game inspired the first Little Busters! television anime earlier this year, and Crunchyroll streamed it into several countries as it aired in Japan. Sentai Filmworks will release the series on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
The second Little Busters! television anime, Little Busters! Refrain, will premiere in Japan in October.
Due to Typhoon 18 sweeping through Japan, the first part of Monday's events, the "Little Busters! Refrain Screening Event," was cancelled. However, the organizers emphasized that the second part, "KSL Live 2013," would go on as planned, despite being held in Tokyo's Ariake ward right near Tokyo Bay.
