Anime Limited Licenses Durarara, Nerima Daikon Brothers (Updated)

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Reissue of Ikebukuro suspense drama; Shinichi Watanabe's musical comedy series is the latest licence.

Anime Limited confirmed on its facebook page that it has licensed the series Durarara!! as 'two hybrid BD/DVD sets with the dub included in Q1 2014.' The 26-episode anime, broadcast in 2010, adapts Ryohgo Narita's suspense action light novels of the same name. Narita wrote Durarara!!'s "warped adolescent fantasy romance" about the colorful young denizens of Tokyo's Ikebukuro neighborhood. The series was previously released in the U.K. in a sub-only form by Beez Entertainment.

Anime Limited later confirmed that it would also release the musical comedy series Nerima Daikon Brothers in Q1 2014. Broadcast in 2006, the series was directed by Shinichi Watanabe (Excel Saga.) The title characters are a music band, consisting of two men, one girl and a panda. They sing, dance and fight villains.
