posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Crunchyroll announced at its panel at Japan Expo USA on Sunday that it will stream the anime adaptation of Ruri Miyahara's four-panel Love Lab manga starting with episode 9.
The comedy manga revolves around the girls at the elite Fujisaki Girls' Middle School, which has tsundere (initially aloof and abrasive, but later kind-hearted), meganekko (eyeglasses-wearing girl), and other kinds of students. The cast includes Manami Numakura as Rico Kurahashi, Chinatsu Akasaki as Natsuo Maki, Inori Minase as Suzune "Suzu" Tanahashi, Ayane Sakura as Yuiko "Eno" Enomoto, and Yō Taichi as Sayori "Sayo" Mizushima.
Masahiko Ohta (Yuruyuri, Mitsudomoe) is directing at the studio Dogakobo (Yuruyuri, GJ Club). Takashi Aoshima (Yuruyuri, Mitsudomoe) is in charge of the series scripts, and Chiaki Nakajima (Yuruyuri) is designing the characters. The five main cast members are performing the opening and ending songs for the series.
The anime premiered in Japan in July.
Miyahara launched the manga in Houbunsha's Manga Home magazine in 2006, and it later ran in other Houbunsha magazines before ending its main run in 2010.
Crunchyroll also revealed at the panel that it will add the first two seasons of Rozen Maiden, Rozen Maiden and Rozen Maiden - Träumend, starting next week. Crunchyroll is currently streaming the Rozen Maiden Zurückspulen television anime series.
