Miyazaki's The Wind Rises Tops Box Office for 5th Week

Award-winning anime director Hayao Miyazaki's The Wind Rises film took first place at the Japanese box office for the fifth week in a row. This past weekend, the film made 474 million yen (US$4.8 million) by selling 352,300 tickets — a relatively small 7.2% drop from the previous weekend. In the past 30 days, the film has sold 5.8 million tickets for 7.2 billion yen (US$72 million).
