Gundam Wing Picture Drama Bundled in 2nd Blu-ray Box

The second of the two remastered Gundam Wing Blu-ray Boxes will include a new Gundam Wing picture drama written by Katsuyuki Sumisawa. Sumisawa oversaw and wrote the scripts for the original Gundam Wing series.
The second limited-edition box set is priced at 29,400 yen (US$ 294) and will include the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Frozen Teardrop Picture Drama Aratanaru Tatakai (A New Battle), an original drama CD (Blind Target 2), a 32-page booklet, as well as new audio commentary and other blu-ray extras. Pre-orders for the box set will close on December 12 and will ship on January 29, 2014.
The picture drama will be based on Sumisawa's own novel series titled Gundam Wing Frozen Teardrop, which is currently serialized in Monthly Gundam Ace. Storyboarder Yasunao Aoki is expected to do the art for the picture drama and the original cast is expected to record for it. Sakura Asagi and Masanori Shino will be drawing the inner jacket art for both Blu-ray sets, and the actual boxes will be illustrated by Yoshihito Hishinuma and Iwao Teraoka.
