Pokémon X/Y Games Get 260,000 Pre-Orders in 2 Days

Nintendo's Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games received 260,000 pre-orders in its first two days of pre-sale. Pre-orders opened in Japan on August 10, and the games will ship for the Nintendo 3DS worldwide on October 12.
The Pokémon Tretta Lab for Nintendo 3DS game also shipped in Japan on August 10 and sold 22,000 copies in its first two days. Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 ranked 36th on the list of Japan's top-selling games for the week of August 5 to 11.
Certain Pokémon can transform through Mega Evolution during battle in the games. Pokémon that can Mega Evolve need a Mega Stone for the new process, and the transformed monsters regain their original appearance and stats after a battle concludes.
The Pokémon XY television anime series tie-in will debut on October 17.
