Aniplex USA Stops Shipping Sword Art Online DVD Set 1

Right Stuf reported on Tuesday that Aniplex of America has stopped its shipments of the Sword Art Online Part 1 DVD box set. Right Stuf explained that Aniplex encountered an issue in the replication process, and some of the DVDs that were distributed had incorrect content on them. Right Stuf said that they would cease all sales of the set until a new shipment has arrived. The company is also working with Aniplex to send out replacement copies of the discs to anyone who needs them and requests that customers refrain from shipping their DVDs back to them.
Aniplex of America is releasing Sword Art Online in four limited-edition Blu-ray Disc sets and four standard edition DVD sets. The first, faulty, was scheduled for Tuesday. The other three sets are slated for release on September 17, October 15, and November 19. Pre-orders are available on Right Stuf and Aniplex's own site. Sword Art Online has also started running on Adult Swim's Toonami block this month.
