Voice Actress Yui Horie's Character Inspires Miss Monochrome TV Anime
posted on by Egan Loo
Miss Monochrome, a character created and played by voice actress Yui Horie, is getting her own anime on TV Tokyo this October. Miss Monochrome appeared as a 3D character at the "Horie Yui o Meguru Bōken III ~Secret Mission Tour~" concert in March of last year. True to her name, she despises color. After her concert appearance, Miss Monochrome spawned a line of character goods, and she already appeared in the popular social game Girlfriend (Kari) or Girlfriend Beta.
Yoshiaki Iwasaki (Love Hina, The Familiar of Zero) is directing the anime. Miss Monochrome is "hijacking" Starchild's website on Saturday and Sunday to celebrate the series. Starchild is also releasing the Miss Monochrome Illustration Book at Comic Market 84, which is being held at the Tokyo Big Site event center from August 10 to 12.
King Records began streaming a video of Miss Monochrome's concert appearance in January.
