The September issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine is announcing on Friday that the nine volumes of Shūzō Oshimi's Flowers of Evil manga have 2 million copies in print. Oshimi launched the manga in the inaugural issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009 and Vertical has the publishing rights to the manga in the United States.
The manga inspired a television anime this past spring. The anime was streamed on Crunchyroll as it aired in Japan, and it was licensed by Sentai Filmworks for home video release in North America.
