posted on by Rae First
Manga creator Koushi Rikudou (Excel Saga) ended his Sarakiel manga in the September issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Maoh magazine on Saturday. The magazine asks its readers to look foward to Rikudou's next work. Rikudou launched the series in 2011, and the third and final volume will be out on September 27.
The fantasy story follows a girl on a journey with two companions. Her mission is to seal her innate power, the "power to lead the world down the path of destruction." Unfortunately, there are people who stand in her way and attempt to use her power.
Rikudou started his AGEHA gag comedy manga in Shonengahosha's Young King Ours magazine last year, but he also ended that manga this year. He is also collaborating on the Kōkaku no Pandora - Ghost Urn- manga with Ghost in the Shell's Masamune Shirow. That manga is moving from Kadokawa Shoten's discontinued Newtype Ace magazine to the Kadokawa Niconico Ace website.
Rikudou ended Excel Saga in Shonengahosha's Young King Ours magazine in 2011.The manga is currently being released in English by Viz Media with the final volume slated for January. Its anime adaptation was re-licensed by FUNimation after ADV Films, which acquired the title in 2000, shut down in 2009.
