Bang Zoom Dubs 1st Star Blazers/Yamato 2199's Episode

An official poster for the English dub screening of Star Blazers 2199 (Space Battleship Yamato 2199) at San Diego Comic-Con reveals that Bang Zoom! Entertainment is dubbing the first episode of the series.
Production I.G and its partners screened the first episode of the Star Blazers 2199 anime with an English dub at Anime Expo. The first episode will screen at Comic-Con on July 20 starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT.
With Space Battleship Yamato 2199, director Yutaka Izubuchi (RahXephon) is remaking the classic space opera anime Space Battleship Yamato. The project debuted in Japan last April as a series of theatrical films, but it was planned from the beginning as a television series as well. The first episode aired on television in April, and the final film will open in Japanese theaters on August 24.
The original Space Battleship Yamato television anime series was dubbed and partly rewritten in English as Star Blazers.
