Steins;Gate Film Blu-ray/DVD Includes English Subs, New Drama CD
posted on by Rae First
Amazon, CD Japan, and other retailers are listing the details of the Blu-ray Disc and DVD release of the Steins;Gate Fuka Ryōiki no Déjà vu anime film, including English subtitles in all editions. All editions will also have package art by original character designer huke, as well as the following video bonuses: footage from the April 6 premium event, footage from the April 20 opening-day stage greetings by the cast, teasers, trailers, and promotional videos.
The limited-edition Blu-ray is listed at 10,000 yen (about US$100). It will include five discs: the disc with the movie itself, a newly recorded Gensonzai no A Posteriori drama CD about 40 minutes long, two more original drama CDs that total 99 minutes in length, and the movie original soundtrack. It will also have a 100-page booklet (with reproductions of the theatrical pamphlet, the art book included with advance tickets, the short novel given to moviegoers, and magazine illustrations) and Digipak packaging illustrated by anime character designer Kyuta Sakai.
5pb. announced in September 2011 that they would be producing the film. The film opened in theaters this past May. The film reunites the television series' cast and staff with a completely new story set after the "true end" of the television series.
The box set will go on sale on December 13.
