Anime of Yoshiaki Sukeno's supernatural comedy manga premiered last year
The conclusion to Yoshiaki Sukeno's Binbō-gami ga! manga will be published in the August issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine on July 4. The manga has been running in the magazine since 2008, and 15 volumes have been compiled and published.
The supernatural comedy revolves around Ichiko Sakura, a girl whose blissful life comes from her bountiful "happiness energy" — gained by sapping that energy from other people. To restore the balance, the Binbō-gami (Poverty God) Momiji Binbada attempts to eliminate her.
The series was adapted into a 13-episode anime series last year. FUNimation Entertainment streamed the series as it aired in Japan and later licensed it for home video release in North America.
