2 Arrested for Uploading Games via WinMX

The Association of Copyright for Computer Software reported that the Fukuoka Prefectural Police and the Asakura City Police arrested two men on Tuesday on suspicion of uploading games on the WinMX file-sharing system without authorization. A 48-year-old office worker from Tokushima Prefecture allegedly uploaded Dr. Mario and 28 other Nintendo Famicom (Nintendo Entertainment System) games on February 7, 2009. A 44-year-old office worker from Osaka allegedly uploaded several Nintendo DS games, including Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble, Touch de Rakushō! Pachi-Slo Sengen Rio de Carnival, Egg Monster Hero, WarioWare: Touched!, and Pac-Pix, on December 27, 2012.
