New Evangelion Films' Blu-ray Sales Top 1 Million

The Blu-ray Disc sales for the first three new Evangelion films have topped one million copies as of May 12. The sales surpassed this threshold after the third film, Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo, sold 358,716 copies since debuting on April 24.
Like the first two films, the third film topped Oricon's weekly Blu-ray Disc charts for three straight weeks. Evangelion is the first franchise with three consecutive Blu-ray Discs each holding the #1 spot for three straight weeks, since Oricon began reporting its Blu-ray chart in July 2008.
