posted on by Karen Ressler
The June issue of Shogakukan's Betsucomi magazine, which shipped on Monday, contained a prologue for Kanoko Sakurakoji's new manga series Last Notes. Full serialization for the new series will begin in the magazine's July issue on June 13.
The series is a romantic comedy about a shop with a mysterious aroma that is run by two handsome men, Haru and Aki. The shop does not have a sign, and all the customers have a specific reason to enter the shop. The new series will be featured on the cover of the July issue, and will include a colored cover page. The first chapter will be 50 pages long.
Sakurakoji is best known for her supernatural romance manga, Black Bird, which also ran in Betsucomi and ended last December. Viz Media published the 16th of 18 volumes in North America last week. Viz Media also published Sakurakoji's two-volume Backstage Prince manga in North America.
The June issue of Betsucomi also premiered the first chapters of Yuka Shibano's cheerleading manga Cheerful Days and Kotoyu Tamura's romance manga Heinetsu 37.2℃.
