Kingdom's 2nd Anime Series Slated for June 8

Japanese public broadcaster NHK announced on Wednesday that the second Kingdom anime series will premiere on June 8 on the BS Premium channel. The second series set in China's Warring States Period will run every Saturday at 11:45 p.m.
The original manga has been running in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine since 2006, and the 29th volume shipped in Japan in February.
The first anime series based on Yasuhisa Hara's historical manga premiered last June and ended after 38 episodes in February. Funimation has been streaming the first series in North America.
