Live-Action Tokyo Yamimushi Film's 1st Trailer Posted

The official website for the live-action film adaptation of Yuuki Honda's Tokyo Yamimushi seinen manga began streaming the first trailer on Wednesday. Sakichi Sato (Tokyo Zombie) is directing the film slated to open in Japan this summer.
The film stars Ren Kiriyama (Kamen Rider W, Switch Girl!!) as Ryō Katō, a 23-year-old man who lives alone with no job, no hopes, and no savings. Ryō has wracked up 2.85 million yen (about US$30,600) in debt, and one day he is kidnapped by debt collectors. The debt collector Asamura (Kōsuke Toyohara of Densha Otoko, Nodame Cantabile) then tells Ryō that his life is "similar to a bug's" and offers him a shady-sounding "job" that will introduce him to money. Honoka (Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger) is also starring as Sakura Aoi. Ichi the Killer writer Sakichi Sato is writing the screenplay adaptation and directing the film.
Honda launched the series in Young Animal in 2010 as his debut serialized work. Hakusensha published the seventh and final volume on March 29.
Honda launched a sequel series titled Tokyo Yamimushi -2nd Scenario- Pandora in the fifth issue of Young Animal in February.
