Japanese gamers gathered on Sunday to try the PlayStation 3 version of Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 at the 6th floor of Yamada Denki Lab 1's Mobile Dream building in Tokyo's Ikebukuro district. CyberConnect2 representative director Hiroshi Matsuyama announced that the pre-orders for the game's release in Japan have surpassed that of any of the other games in the franchise.
"The Metascore from overseas are between 75 and 83, and the game is receiving pretty good reviews." Matsuyama said. "Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 has broken the series record for the most pre-order reservations in Japan, so I'm thinking there is a lot of expectation for the Japan release as well."
The game shipped on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North and South America on March 5, and in Europe on March 8 before the upcoming Japanese release on Thursday.
